Alkaline Advisors LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Alkaline Tools platform at app.alkaline-advisors.com (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, company name, title, and phone number. You may also upload a company logo.
Deal Data: When you use our tools, we store the data you input including deal names, tenant information, client names, financial figures, lease terms, and analysis results. This data is stored as structured JSON in our database.
Published Deal Viewer Information: When you publish a deal and share it with third parties, viewers are required to provide their name and email address before accessing the deal. We log this information along with the time of access and make it available to you as the deal owner.
Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed through Stripe. We do not directly store your credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe handles all payment data in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. We retain Stripe customer IDs and subscription status.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the Platform, including pages visited, tools used, deals created, and feature interactions.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide, maintain, and improve the Platform; (b) process subscriptions and payments; (c) send you service-related communications; (d) provide customer support; (e) generate anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve our tools; and (f) comply with legal obligations.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database platform built on PostgreSQL. We implement row-level security (RLS) policies to ensure that users can only access their own data. All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption. Company logos are stored in a secure cloud storage bucket.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information or deal data. We may share information with: (a) Service providers — Supabase (database hosting), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (application hosting) as necessary to operate the Platform; (b) Published deal viewers — when you choose to publish a deal, the deal data and your branding information (name, company, title, logo) are shared with viewers you grant access to; (c) Law enforcement — if required by law, subpoena, or court order.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information and deal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes). Published deal viewer logs are retained for 12 months.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) export your data in a portable format; and (e) withdraw consent for data processing. 7. Cookies and Tracking
The Platform uses essential cookies and session storage for authentication and user preferences (such as notification "last seen" timestamps). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.
8. AI and Data Processing
Certain Platform features use artificial intelligence and machine learning to process your data (such as lease abstraction). Your deal data may be processed by AI models to generate analysis outputs. We do not use your deal data to train AI models. AI processing occurs in real-time and results are stored as part of your deal data.
9. Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
10. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
